I downloaded Beta2, which seemed to be available to everyone. When I wanted to install it, I was required to provide a Product Code *Number?). How to I get one ? Or do I have to register as a beta tester. I thought it was for general public use.

Go to http://www.windowsvista.com/getready/preview.mspx - select the download source at the bottom, and register by signing into Windows Live ID/Passport - you'll have your key in your inbox by the end of it.
